Jeera Rice

For Beginners, Rice

Ingredients:
1 cup basmati rice,
3 tsp jeera(cumin seeds),
10-12 curry leaves,
3 tbsp chopped cashewnuts,
1 tbsp ghee,
Salt to taste,
Oil,

Method:
Wash rice and soak in some water for 15 minutes.
In a pressure cooker, heat some oil and ghee. Put jeera, cashewnuts and curry leaves. Drain rice and add to the tadka in the pressure cooker. Mix well and add around 2 cups of water. Add some salt and cover. Cook upto two whistles. Serve with dal tadka.
