Prawns in Orange Sauce

Continental Cuisine

Ingredients:
4-5 King prawns,
1 egg white,
1 tbsp cornflour,
Vegetable oil for frying.

For the sauce-
Olive oil,
1/2 onion, sliced,
2 tbsp ginger juliennes,
Few orange juliennes,
1/2 cup white vinegar,
3/4 cup orange juice,
1 tbsp cornflour,
3 tbsp sugar,
Salt and pepper to taste.

Method:
Marinate the prawns with salt and pepper for 15 minutes. Then dip one by one in egg white and pat in cornflour and deep fry till they turn golden.
Heat a pan, add vinegar and sugar. Keep the flame low and stir till the sugar dissolves and then add orange juice and salt. Boil and remove from flame. In another pan, heat some olive oil, add ginger juilennes, orange juilinnes, sliced onions and fry for 2 minutes and then add to the orange sauce. Put on flame. Dissolve cornflour in some water and add to the prepared sauce. Now add prawns, mix and serve with steamed rice.

    I am glad that you liked the recipe. The whole recipe could be prepared in around 45 minutes. (including the marination time of 15 minutes)
