Imli Goli (Tamarind Candy)

For Kids

Ingredients:
1 cup thick imli (tamarind) pulp,
1 1/2 cup jaggery,
1 tbsp dry sonth (ginger powder),
1/2 cup granulated sugar for coating,
Wrapping papers to wrap and store.

Method:
Heat the tamaring pulp in a non-stick pan on medium flame, stirring continously till it starts thickening. Now add the jaggery and keep stirring. Simmer till the mixture thickens. Now add the sonth, mix well and remove from flame and let it cool at room temperature. Then make small balls (golis) and roll them into the sugar and wrap in transparent wrapping papers and store. Use them when you have guests or kids at home.
