Ingredients:
1 cup grated cabbage,
Besan or gramflour for binding,
1 green chilli,
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste,
1/2 tsp turmeric powder,
1 tsp sugar,
1 tsp lemon juice,
1 tsp poppy seeds (khus khus),
1 tsp sesame seeds (white til),
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves,
Oil for frying.

Method:
In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients except oil. Heat 1 tbsp of oil till it is smoky and then add to the cabbage mixture. Mix well. This mixture needs to be steamed, so heat some water in a big utensil. Spread the mixture in a container or better on a plate, evenly. Steam this for 10-15 minutes. Remove from the stem and let it cool at room temperature. Then cut out wadis or tikkis and fry them in hot oil, on a medium flame till crisp. Serve as snacks or starters with ketchup or mint chutney.
