Coffee Granita

Ingredients: (Serves 4)
2 cups decaf or strong hot espresso coffee,
1/2 cup sugar,
1 tbsp coffee flavored liqueur,
1 cup whipped cream,
1 tsp vanilla essence,
Coffee powder and grated chocolate to garnish.

Method:
Add sugar to the hot coffee and stir until fully dissolved. Let it cool at room temperature. Then add liquer to it, mix and pour into a baking tray, cover with cling film and refrigerate for 45 minutes. Remove and whisk using a fork until the texture is like slush. Whisk evenly and again freeze for 45 minutes. Now remove, whisk and again freeze.  In a bowl whip together cream, vanilla essence till peaks are formed. Chill till ready to serve. To serve scoop out flakes of granita, put them into tall glasses, top with whipped cream, garnish with some coffee powder and grated chocolate.
