Kadhai Mutter (Green Peas Vegetable)

Ingredients:
2 cups mutter(shelled green peas),
1 small onion, sliced,
4 tbsp readymade tomato puree,(or use 2 tbsp homemade tomato puree + 2 tbsp tomato ketchup,
1 tsp methi dana (fenugreek seeds),
1 dry red chilli,
1/2 tsp red chilli powder,
3/4 tsp garam masala,
1 tsp coriander powder,
1 tsp lemon juice,
Salt as taste,
Oil for frying,
Water.
Chopped coriander leaves to garnish.

Method:
In a kadhai, heat alomost 3 tbsp of oil and add methi dana. Fry methi dana till they turn golden and add red chilli, broken into 2 pieces. Now add sliced onion and saute till it turns transparent. Add red chilli powder, garam masala and coriander powder, fry for a minute and pour in the lemon juice, mix well and add the tomato puree. Fry the masala for 1 more minute and add the shelled peas. Mix well, add water and cover with lid until the peas are cooked properly. Once peas get cooked add salt and chopped coriander leaves. Serve with hot parathas or roti.
