Mushrooms in Yoghurt

Ingredients:

200 gms button mushrooms,

2 onions, cut into halves and sliced,

1″ piece ginger,

2 green chillies, deseeded and finely chopped,

1 tsp garam masala,

3/4th tsp red chilli powder,

1 tsp coriander powder,

3/4th cup fresh curd, beaten well,

Salt to taste,

Oil,

Chopped coriander leaves to garnish.

Method:

Wash mushrooms under running water and cut them into slices. Each mushroom should be cut into 4-5 slices. Heat some oil in a pan and saute the onions, green chillies and ginger till onions turn light brown. Now add chilli powder and coriander powder. Add the sliced muhsrooms and cover with lid. Cook mushrooms stirring occasionally till they are done. Mix well and blend in the beaten curd, garam masala and salt. Cook till curd dries up. Garnish with chopped corainder leaves. Serve with hot chapatis or parathas.
