Rice Kheer

Ingredients:
1/4 cup rice,
1 litre milk
4 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp cardamom powder,
1/4 cup sliced dryfruits (almonds, pistachios and cashew nuts)
2 tbsp raisins

Method:
Boil milk in a heavy base saucepan. Add washed rice, cardamom powder, raisins and half quantity of sliced dryfruits. Bring one boil and then reduce the heat to medium. Cook until it becomes thick and creamy stirring continuosly. Add sugar and cook for 5 minutes. Put kheer in a serving bowl and decorate with the remaining dry fruits. Refrigerate and serve.

Tip:
You can add 1 or 2 tbsp of ghee while boiling milk to avoid it from spilling.
