Ingredients:
4 red apples,
1-2 sticks celery; chopped,
1/4 cup chopped walnuts,
1/4 cup finely shredded cabbage,
1 finely shredded carrot,
1/4 cup mayonnaise,
Salt and pepper to taste.

Method:
Wash and wipe the apples so that they shine. Slice off the top of the apple so that it serves as a cap to the apple, save it. Scoop out the apple to form a bowl. Deseed and chopp the scooped apples. Dip this and the apple cap in salted water to prevent discoloration.
Mix apples and all the other ingredients into a bowl and then fill the hollow apple bowls with it. Stick a sprig of parsley or celery leaf and use a toothpick to place the cap on the apple bowl, a little tilted.

Another serving suggestion – Cut the apple into 2 halves each and serve.

TIP:
Use low fat mayonnaise if you wish to watch out for calories.
