About

Hello Friends,

I am Minal, the founder of ‘foodatarian'(read as ‘food-a-tarian’ which is a blend of vegetarian, non-vegetarian and egg-atarian recipes 🙂 )

I am a foodie and I like to cook and try new recipes. Its been a journey of trial and error before I could actually learn cooking. Born Maharashtrian and married to a Punjabi hailing from Rajasthan, so I belong and travel to the different regions. Each region has its own rich culture and tradition and ofcourse recipes. I learnt most of the recipes from my mother and now I’m learning more recipes from my mother-in-law. But as a working woman I barely get enough time to cook elaborately, and hence I have experimented a lot and have made my own recipes that are quick and easy. One fine day I thought of noting down all such recipes and share with all of you so that you can make some variations in daily cooking and learn new recipes.

Indian food is popular around the world. Spicy Indian curries and tandoori recipes are favorites among the Europeans. Hence people have started learning and preparing Indian food. Spices and groceries used in these recipes are easily available in all the leading grocery marts in almost all the countries. My site is a collection of delicious recipes from different parts of India.

Since I have visited few other countries and got to taste different cuisines, I thought of sharing recipes from different parts of world too.

Cooking is a learning process, I never measure anything, and hence the recipes written here are from my memory. Hence there may be a difference in taste of what I cook and what you cook from my recipes. Like a lot of us you must have had your share of good and bad experiences while cooking. Do share such experiences here, so that all of us can learn. Also feel free to leave a comment if you like or dislike my recipes.
